How do you add speaker notes in PowerPoint?

You can add speaker notes in PowerPoint to help guide your presentation while keeping the main slides uncluttered. Here’s how :

1. Using the Notes Pane (Easiest Method)
  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Select the slide where you want to add notes.
  3. At the bottom of the PowerPoint window, locate the Notes Pane (if you don’t see it, click Notes in the View tab).
  4. Click inside the Notes Pane and type your speaker notes.
2. Using the Notes Page View
  1. Go to the View tab.
  2. Click Notes Page to see how your notes will appear in presenter mode or when printed.
  3. Type or edit your notes as needed.
3. Using Presenter View During a Slideshow
  • When presenting, click Slide Show > From Beginning or From Current Slide.
  • If using Presenter View, your notes will appear on your screen while only the slide is shown to the audience.
4. Printing Speaker Notes
  • Go to File > Print > Choose Notes Pages under "Settings" to print slides with speaker notes.
