A looping presentation automatically restarts from the beginning when it reaches the last slide, making it perfect for kiosks, trade shows, or unattended displays. Here's how to set it up:
1. Set Up Slide Show to Loop
- Open your PowerPoint presentation.
- Go to the Slide Show tab.
- Click Set Up Slide Show.
- In the pop-up window, under Show options, select:
- Loop continuously until ‘Esc’ (this ensures the slideshow repeats).
- Browsed at a kiosk (full screen) (if you want it to run without manual control).
- Click OK to apply.
2. Adjust Slide Timings (Automatic or Manual)
To ensure slides advance automatically:
- Go to the Transitions tab.
- In the Timing group, uncheck "On Mouse Click".
- Check "After" and set the duration for each slide (e.g., 5 seconds).
- Click Apply to All to ensure all slides advance automatically.
Tip : If you want different durations for each slide, adjust them individually.
3. Record or Set Custom Slide Timings (Optional)
If you want more control over timing:
- Go to Slide Show > Click Rehearse Timings.
- Practice going through your slides.
- PowerPoint will save the timings automatically.
4. Save and Test the Looping Presentation
- Click Slide Show > From Beginning to test the loop.
- If everything looks good, save your presentation.
- If needed, export it as a video (File > Export > Create a Video).
