How do you create a looping presentation?

A looping presentation automatically restarts from the beginning when it reaches the last slide, making it perfect for kiosks, trade shows, or unattended displays. Here's how to set it up:

1. Set Up Slide Show to Loop
  1. Open your PowerPoint presentation.
  2. Go to the Slide Show tab.
  3. Click Set Up Slide Show.
  4. In the pop-up window, under Show options, select:
    • Loop continuously until ‘Esc’ (this ensures the slideshow repeats).
    • Browsed at a kiosk (full screen) (if you want it to run without manual control).
  5. Click OK to apply.
2. Adjust Slide Timings (Automatic or Manual)

To ensure slides advance automatically:

  1. Go to the Transitions tab.
  2. In the Timing group, uncheck "On Mouse Click".
  3. Check "After" and set the duration for each slide (e.g., 5 seconds).
  4. Click Apply to All to ensure all slides advance automatically.

Tip : If you want different durations for each slide, adjust them individually.

3. Record or Set Custom Slide Timings (Optional)

If you want more control over timing:

  1. Go to Slide Show > Click Rehearse Timings.
  2. Practice going through your slides.
  3. PowerPoint will save the timings automatically.
4. Save and Test the Looping Presentation
  1. Click Slide Show > From Beginning to test the loop.
  2. If everything looks good, save your presentation.
  3. If needed, export it as a video (File > Export > Create a Video).
