You can freeze rows or columns in Excel to keep them visible while scrolling. Here’s how :
To Freeze the Top Row :
- Open your Excel workbook.
- Click on the View tab in the ribbon.
- Select Freeze Panes.
- Click Freeze Top Row.
- This keeps the first row visible as you scroll down.
To Freeze the First Column :
- Click on the View tab.
- Select Freeze Panes.
- Click Freeze First Column.
- This keeps the first column visible as you scroll right.
To Freeze Multiple Rows or Columns :
- Select the cell below the row(s) and to the right of the column(s) you want to freeze.
- Click on the View tab.
- Select Freeze Panes.
- Click Freeze Panes (the first option).
- Everything above and to the left of your selected cell will stay visible.
To Unfreeze Panes :
- Go to the View tab.
- Click Freeze Panes.
- Select Unfreeze Panes.
