WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY 2022 THEME : The theme for World Autism Awareness Day 2022 is ‘Inclusion in the Workplace’, Inclusive education is the key to the transformative promise of the Sustainable Development Goals, to 'Leave no one behind'.
 
The event is organized by the UN Department of Global Communications and the UN Department of Economic and Social Affairs, with the support of civil society partners including the Autistic Self Advocacy Network, the Global Autism Project, and the Specialisterne Foundation.
 
WORLD AUTISM AWARENESS DAY HISTORY : The United Nations General Assembly unanimously declared 2 April as World Autism Awareness Day to highlight the need to help improve the quality of life of those with autism, so they can lead full and meaningful lives as an integral part of society.
 
In 2008, the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities entered into force, reaffirming the fundamental principle of universal human rights for all.
