Private sector IFFCO-TOKIO General Insurance on Wednesday(22-12-2021) said it has appointed H O Suri as new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to this, Suri was director of marketing and Chief Investment Officer, the general insurance company said in a statement.

He started his professional journey in the year 1982 with Indian Farmers Fertiliser Cooperative Limited (IFFCO), the world's largest fertiliser manufacturer in the Cooperative Sector, and has a professional qualification of chartered accountant, it said.

The appointment is effective October 1, 2021, it said.

"The company is a strong brand with a vast talent pool of insurance professionals and a loyal customer base. We always strive to be the best and are committed to serving all with dignity and respect," Suri said.

General Manoj Pande inaugurated (17th April 2024) High-Tech IT Lab at Academy of Armed Forces in Which Country?

Chief of the Army Staff, General Manoj Pande inaugurated a high-tech IT Laboratory, at the Academy of Armed Forces in Uzbekistan on 17th April 2024. The Lab has been established with Indian assistance.

The development is in accordance with the commitment made by India and Uzbekistan to build an IT laboratory, during the Defense Ministers meeting in September 2018.

The Lab, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, is expected to enrich the training resources available to Uzbek armed forces and foster a deeper understanding and cooperation between India and Uzbekistan.

Earlier yesterday, General Pande interacted with First Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Khalmukhamedov Shukhrat Gayratjanovich to discuss aspects of strengthening military cooperation between both the Armies. Thereafter, General Pande visited the Armed Forces Museum, Tashkent, which displays Military exhibits belonging to different historical epochs of Uzbekistan.
