The English translation of award-winning book “Lata: Sur-Gatha”, on the life and times of iconic singer Lata Mangeshkar, will hit the stands early next year(January 2023), announced Penguin Random House India (PRHI) on the eve of the 93rd birth anniversary of the late Bharat Ratna awardee.

 

“Lata: A Life in Music”, originally written in Hindi by writer-poet Yatindra Mishra, is translated by noted writer and translator Ira Pande. The book has won the 64th National Film Award and the MAMI Award for Best Writing on Cinema (2016–17).

 

Mishra’s decade-long dialogue with Mangeshkar has resulted in a book that goes beyond the conventional and explores the lesser-known aspects of this great artist, introducing the readers to the artist as an intellectual and cultural exponent and providing a rare glimpse into the person behind the revered enigma.

 

It is touted to be an exclusive peek into her life — both personal and professional.

 

Known as the Queen of melody, Mangeshkar started training in singing at the age of five. She began her career as a singer in 1942 and has been credited to have sung 25,000 songs in as many as 36 Indian languages including Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and others over a period of seven decades..

Vice President "Jagdeep Dhankhar" released a book titled "Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay - Jeevan Darshan Aur Samsamyikta" in a programme in New Delhi on Saturday(24th Sep 2022). He also highlighted the relevance of Pandit Deendayal's thoughts in contemporary times.

 

Quoting Pandit Deendayal, Shri Dhankhar said that education is an investment in the sense that an educated man will serve the society better and underlined that this idea formed the basis of the New Education Policy - 2020.  He said, If India wants to attain its past glory, it will have to take a holistic view of human development in every sense as suggested by Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay.

Muskurate Chand Lamhe aur Kuchh Khamoshiyan: At a ceremony in New Delhi, well-known actor Manoj Bajpayee published a book titled Muskurate Chand Lamhe aur Kuchh Khamoshiyan in the presence of Apurva Chandra, the secretary of information and broadcasting. A variety of poetry are offered in the book. Jiwesh Nandan is the author of it. Mr. Apurva Chandra expressed his opinions at the time and remarked that the book is focused on humour and philosophy.

Former President "Ram Nath Kovind" released a book titled Ambedkar and Modi: Reformer’s Ideas Performer’s Implementation in New Delhi (16th Sep 2022). The book illustrates life, works and achievements of Dr. B.R Ambedkar. 

 

It presents a convergence between the ideals of Dr. Ambedkar and New India’s development journey. Focus has been laid on infrastructure, education, socio-economic mobility, gender equality, and self-reliance in the twelve chapters of the book.

Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Minister of State for Ayush and Minister of State for Women and Child Development, published a book titled “Science behind Surya Namaskar” that compiles research studies on one of the most popular yoga poses at the All India Institute of Ayurveda(AIIA). On this occasion, the director of the AIIA,Tanuja Manoj, as well as the deans of the Institute and faculty, were also present.

 

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme 2022 was held at the Institute from August 22–27, 2022, and the Minister was invited as the Chief Guest to thank the organizers. Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi, along with the departments of Swasthavritta, Panchakarma, and Dravyaguna, organized the event.

 

The AIIA’s Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga has prepared the book “Science behind Surya Namaskar.” Mahendrabhai praised the Institute’s professors and researchers during the book’s launch for their dedication and efforts to draw attention to the scientific foundation of Indian traditions and practices.
