Civil aviation event Wings India 2024 to be held in Hyderabad from Jan 18

Wings India 2024, Asia's largest civil aviation event, is being held at Begumpet Airport in Hyderabad. The eighth edition of the once-in-two-year event was inaugurated on 18 January 2024 by the Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

* The Airports Authority of India, in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation and FICCI, is organizing the biennial (after every two years) event.
* Wings India 2024 showcases a collection of new-generation aircraft displays, allied aviation services, auxiliary unit industries, and advancements in the tourism sector.

Importance of Wings India 2024 :

* Wings India 2024 witnessed deliberations over the strategies and strategic framework for the country's future aviation sector.
* The four-day Wings India 2024 brought together various worldwide stakeholders and aviation industry participants to promote collaboration, showcase innovations, and explore business opportunities.


Various Outcomes :

* The aviation industry's most innovative aircraft technology and machinery are showcased at the event.
* In the exhibition, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. showcases its indigenous civil platforms like the Hindustan-228 aircraft and the upgraded civil helicopter Dhruv.
* Air India will unveil its Airbus A350, the first aircraft in the country, while the Boeing 777-9 will be on display for the first time there.
* Along with aerobatic displays by the Sarang team of the Indian Air Force, more than 25 aircraft of different sizes also will display for the spectacular view at the venue.
* About 130 exhibitors and 15 Hospitality Chalets from across the globe are participating in the event, in addition to approximately 500 Business-to-business meetings. The event will continue until January 21st.
