The US dictionary publisher Merriam-Webster has announced its 2022 word of the year: "gaslighting."
* Gaslighting – defined broadly as "the act or practice of grossly misleading someone especially for one’s own advantage" – gained significant interest throughout the year. Searches for the word increased 1,740%, the dictionary publisher said Monday.
