Hexaware Technologies to Hire Around 6,000 People this FY-2023
Hexaware Technologies plans to hire 5,000 to 6,000 lateral talent for the current fiscal year (FY-2023) with a special focus on data skills followed by digital engineering, app development, cloud infrastructure and Java full-stack.

However, in spite of the uncertain market, an official from Hexaware said that the compensation expectation has not decreased to the level it was at before the pandemic, despite the fact that it has decreased from the enormous surge it experienced the previous year. In addition, there has been an increase in the joining ratio.
In the past, joiners were given the label of having the "highest no-show probability." The fact that I shopped around with a few other businesses was just coincidental. "However, as of right now, this is no longer the case," said Senthil Nayagam K, executive vice president of global revenue assurance and chief learning officer of Hexaware Technologies.

Nayagam added that candidate expectations may continue to soften over the next four to six months, and he said so while dropping hints that employers' ability to negotiate has improved in light of recent events surrounding the downturn.
There is a great deal of unpredictability in the market, and the vast majority of businesses are not actively recruiting new employees. We are setting ourselves apart from the competition in that we are still employing in respectable quantities.

"Candidates think they should not lose the offer and they're coming on board," he said, adding that the offer-to-joining ratio has become better than the pre-pandemic levels. This is due to the fact that the brand is acknowledged in the market.
Hexaware hired over 4,500 new staff members in 2022, bringing its total workforce to more than 28,000 workers. Additionally, the staff retention rate increased from 68 percent in 2021 to 73% in 2022, despite the fact that this number is still much lower than the rate in 2020 (80%).

On the 31st of December in 2022, the attrition rate was 21.9%, representing a marginal decrease of 1 percent from the previous year.
“Like everybody else, we have also seen attrition spiking, but I think that is stabilised and we did several HR interventions to what needs to be done to curtail it,” Nayagam said.

Regarding return-to-the-office plans, Hexaware operates in a hybrid environment where employees are not required to report to the office.
