Honeywell Automation India Limited, a global provider of automation and software solutions. has secured a crucial contract with Reliance Life Sciences (RLS), an biotechnology initiative of the Reliance Group of companies, to implement building management and safety technology. This announcement comes after Honeywell's Building Solutions business successfully won the bid.

Under this new agreement, Honeywell will play a pivotal role in enhancing the technological infrastructure at multiple plants owned by Reliance Life Sciences in Nashik, Maharashtra, India. The project includes supplying, installing, testing, and commissioning integrated building management command and control systems, as well as advanced environment monitoring systems.

A significant aspect of this collaboration is the integration of Honeywell's current fire detection and voice evacuation systems with the innovative Honeywell Connected Life Safety Services (CLSS). This integration will provide Reliance Life Sciences with a comprehensive and unified solution, ensuring increased safety measures and operational efficiency across their 160-acre facility.

Ashish Modi, President of Honeywell India, stated, "Under this project, we will integrate and deploy Honeywell's Enterprise Buildings Integrator (EBI) Command Control Suite and CLSS, which is a significant win in the pharmaceutical industry. Our superior building management and safety technology will enhance overall safety, efficiency, and sustainability at RLS."

Honeywell said that the EBI Command Control Suite will play a central role in this project, offering RLS a comprehensive view of its building management and security systems. Consolidated within a unified dashboard, the suite will enable RLS to streamline operations and oversight more efficiently.

Additionally, the contract between Honeywell and Reliance Life Sciences includes a seven-year annual maintenance support plan. This commitment demonstrates Honeywell's dedication to ensuring sustained operational excellence for RLS throughout the lifecycle of the implemented technologies.

On November 6, Honeywell Automation India reported a marginal 3.4% rise in second-quarter profit, as a rise in expenses outpaced revenue growth. Profit at the Indian unit of US-based Honeywell International rose to ₹122 crore for the three months ended September 30, from ₹118 crore a year ago.

Its quarterly revenue was up 39% at ₹1,104 crore, however, a 44% rise in its total expenses, in line with the trend seen in the previous three quarters, weighed on profit. The company said, it has benefited from an infrastructure spending-led boost to its order book.
