Stability AI CEO says AI will replace human programmers with in 5 years
Stability AI CEO Emad Mostaque, in an interview with Peter H. Diamandis for the Moonshots and Mindsets Podcast, said that in the next five years, there will be no human programmers.

He also said that by the end of next year (2024), ChatGPT will be available on phones and won't require an internet connection to run. The CEO also highlighted how AI is growing at a rapid pace.

Stability AI CEO says no programmers in future

While speaking about the future of AI and how code is already being written by AI, Mostaque said, "41 percent of all code on Github right now is AI generated. There are no programmers in five years."
Mostaque isn't the only tech expert to be talking about AI replacing programmers. In May this year, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang had also said that AI will touch every industry and anyone today can be a programmer thanks to the emerging tech.

He had said, "The programming barrier is incredibly low. We have closed the digital divide. Everyone is a programmer now - you just have to say something to the computer."
Coming back to Stability AI, Mostaque said that the goal of the London-based startup is to democratise AI so that it can be used to benefit everyone.

He said, My aim is to provide building blocks to society OS. Our mission is to build a foundation to activate humanity’s potential, and we are building models around every single modality. Be it audio, video, DNA, chemical reactions, language, we are doing it for every sector.
So you have a banker GPT, a board GPT to replace all your crap board members, (laughs). We are doing this so that everyone can have a file that they put words in and images, audio, text, anything pops out that’s appropriate to you, to enhance you.

In the same interview, he said that many people do not want the technology to be accessible to all. However, the goal of Stability AI, he reiterated, is to build 'the foundation to activate humanity's true potential'.

"AI can't be controlled by any entity and must be distributed equally and I believe that this is a human right," he said.
