Can you explain SMS providers in SCCM?
* SMS Providers are essentially WMI (Windows Management Instrumentation) providers that provide read and write access to Configuration Manager databases.
* Configuration Manager administrative users are able to access information stored in a database by using the SMS Provider. It enables access and modifies Configuration Manager data.
* There must be at least one SMS provider per CAS and primary site. More providers can be installed as necessary.
* Secondary sites do not support SMS providers.
