The project, which has been given a prototype name ‘WARDEC’, will be a first-of-its-kind simulation-based training centre in India that will use artificial intelligence (AI) to design virtual reality wargames.

HANSA-NG 2 seater flying trainer Aircraft, Design & Developed by CSIR-NAL, has successfully completed in-flight engine relight test at DRDO’s Aeronautical Test Range (ATR) facility, Challakere on 17th May, 2022. Flight test was carried out at an altitude of 7000-8000 feet with the speed range of 60 to 70 knots by Wg Cdr K V Prakash and Wg Cdr NDS Reddy, Test Pilots from Aircraft and Systems Testing Establishment (ASTE), Indian Air force (IAF).
 
In-flight engine relight capability of the aircraft was demonstrated with wind milling propeller and starter assisted start. The aircraft handling characteristics & flight parameters were found to be normal during these test flights.
 
CSIR-NAL mentioned that, the in-flight engine relight test is most critical and important milestone towards certification of the aircraft by DGCA. .

The Indian Navy on Wednesday(18th May 2022) successfully carried out the maiden test firing of the first indigenously developed naval anti-ship missile from a Seaking helicopter, officials said.
 
The test was conducted at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Odisha's Balasore.
 
"This firing is a significant step towards achieving self-reliance in niche missile technology and reaffirms the Indian Navy's commitment to indigenisation," said a senior Navy official.
 
The Indian Navy carried out the test in association with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO).
 
On Twitter, the Indian Navy released a brief video of the Seaking 42B helicopter firing the missile..

Indian Army has put forward a proposal to buy 12 more Made-in-India 'Swathi' weapon-locating radars for China border.
 
The system, enables soldiers to automatically detect the location from where enemy weapons like mortars, shells and rockets are being fired upto a distance of 50 kilometres.  The system is capable of simultaneously detecting multiple projectiles which have been fired towards friendly positions.

Coast Guard on Wednesday(4th May 2022) commissioned its second Air Squadron, 845 Squadron (CG), at the Coast Guard Air Enclave at Nedumbassery in "Kochi".
 
The new Air Squadron, commissioned by Coast Guard Director General "V S Pathania", is equipped with the indigenously developed Advanced Mark III (ALH Mark III) helicopters.
 
The commissioning marks a tremendous leap towards self-reliance in the field of search and rescue operations and long-range maritime surveillance. Four helicopters have been positioned in Kochi to cover the entire coast of Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep. The Squadron, led by Commandant Kunal Naik has nine officers and 35 men.
