Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai

Correct Answer :   Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai

Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai, Minister of State for Ayush and Minister of State for Women and Child Development, published a book titled “Science behind Surya Namaskar” that compiles research studies on one of the most popular yoga poses at the All India Institute of Ayurveda(AIIA). On this occasion, the director of the AIIA,Tanuja Manoj, as well as the deans of the Institute and faculty, were also present.

The Continuing Medical Education (CME) Programme 2022 was held at the Institute from August 22–27, 2022, and the Minister was invited as the Chief Guest to thank the organizers. Rashtriya Ayurveda Vidyapeeth (RAV), New Delhi, along with the departments of Swasthavritta, Panchakarma, and Dravyaguna, organized the event.

The AIIA’s Department of Swasthavritta and Yoga has prepared the book “Science behind Surya Namaskar.” Mahendrabhai praised the Institute’s professors and researchers during the book’s launch for their dedication and efforts to draw attention to the scientific foundation of Indian traditions and practices.

About Ayush Ministry : The term Ayush was created from the names of the complementary medical practices that the ministry covers: Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, and Homeopathy. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare originally established the Department of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homeopathy (ISM&H) in 1995. For funding solutions that are either unproven or have been convincingly shown to be inefficient, the Ministry of Ayush has come under heavy fire. Drugs have been introduced without thorough pharmacological studies or significant clinical trials on Ayurveda or other alternative healthcare systems due to poor research quality. The ministry is alleged to be encouraging pseudoscience.
